Hi there, My name is Ashley Kidd-Tatge CD(DONA), LCCE. I'm a Minneapolis native and lover of all things pregnancy, birth, and babies. I grew up in a large family, where there was always a baby (or two) for me to gush over. I was 14 when I had the honor of witnessing the arrival of my youngest niece. That moment had a life-changing effect on me. It showed me what a healthy, uninterrupted and intervention-free birth could look like. "Beautiful" doesn't begin to describe it. This sparked my passion and desire to become a doula.
Every woman (married, single, partnered, or anywhere in between) should be informed, encouraged, and trusted to give birth. A woman's body is gifted with unique intuition and sensibilities needed to bring her baby safely in to the world. I am you cheerleader, reassuring presence, and unwavering support during this special time for you. Regardless of birth plan, location, or medicated/unmedicated birth, my job is to walk with you (and your partner) every step of the way through your pregnancy, delivery, and first weeks of motherhood. I help build your confidence as you begin to navigate the uncharted waters ahead. There is no greater privilege than to accompany you on this journey.
I believe in your ability to give birth. I believe in your strength. Your labor and delivery can set the tone for your new life with baby; let's work together and get started on the right foot. Click here for a list of my services.

As a birth doula, I provide continuous, physical, emotional and informational support to mothers and their partners. We work together before, during, and after childbirth to help you and your partner achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.
After birth, your placenta can be steamed, dehydrated, ground, and placed into pills or tinctures. This pill or tincture is taken and is believed to impart numerous health benefits such as increased milk production and regulation of hormones throughout postpartum and beyond. Placenta prints and art are also available upon request.
Sibling doulas tend to older children while their parents have a baby. Whether planning for a home, birth center, or hospital birth, I ensure that your children are cared for and safe - in home or present at the birth. The birth process is explained in the most "kid-friendly" way possible and kids have a "birth buddy" they can rely on. Learn more.
